Decorative Vases

Decorative vases at The Base Warehouse run to more than 200 styles, starting from $2, in glass, ceramic, metal, cement and composite. The range runs from a small bud vase for the kitchen bench to a tall statement piece for the entry.

What is in the vase range

Glass is the backbone of the range: Glass Cylinder Vases from 6cm x 20cm ($7.99) up to 15cm x 50cm ($35.99), Glass Fish Bowl Vases in three sizes and Leaf Pattern Glass Vases. For colour, look at the Green Tully Glass Vase and the White and Blue Vase With Gold Trim. Ceramic options include the Matte White Kef Vase and the Giza Vase in white, tabasco and musk. For height, there is the Graphite Silver Aluminium Welding Round Tall Tapering Large Vase at 84.5cm and the White Genoa Composite Vase at 43cm x 60cm.

How to choose the right vase

Match the vase to what goes in it. Long-stemmed fresh flowers need a tall cylinder, with the vase roughly a third to half the height of the stems. Short posies and single blooms suit a bud vase or a round belly vase. Fish bowl and cylinder vases make easy table centrepieces because you can fill them with water, floating candles or decorative stones and pebbles. Opaque ceramic and cement vases hide the stems, which makes them a good home for dried or artificial flowers. Group odd numbers in varying heights, in one colour or material. For greenery that lives in soil, head to our flower pots and planters instead.
