Halloween Weapon Props

Prop weapons finish a horror costume and cost less than you would think. The Base Warehouse stocks 16 Halloween props from $3 to $11.99, all lightweight plastic and moulded foam, nothing with an edge.

What is in the prop weapon range

The bloody line covers a 77cm chainsaw, a 65cm machete, a 45cm hand saw, a 37cm hammer, a 25cm knife and a 30cm cross stake. There are also weapons on a chain for the heavier costumes. Beyond the horror side there are character props that finish a look without a drop of blood: fake cigars in 3 packs, 6 piece fake cigarettes, a wood look pipe and a microphone prop for the rockstar and gangster costumes.

Choosing a prop that suits the night

Size is the thing people get wrong. A 77cm chainsaw photographs brilliantly and is a nuisance to carry all night in a crowded room, so match the prop to where you are going. Smaller hand props work better for trick or treating and for anywhere you will be putting things down. All of these are obvious props at a glance, but common sense applies: leave them at home for anywhere with a bag check, and keep them out of reach of small children.
