How to choose the right clay

Polymer clay is for small, detailed pieces like charms, beads and figurines; it is hardened by baking in a home oven, so follow the temperature and time on the pack. Air drying clay needs no oven and suits bigger pieces, school projects and pinch pots; let it dry fully, then paint it with acrylics. Super light clay, the 500g blocks and Nara packs suit kids' play and practice. Knead any clay before use to soften it, and wrap leftovers tightly or keep them in a lidded tub so they do not dry out.
