Our story
The Base Warehouse started in 1989 as a single discount variety store in New South Wales. The idea was simple and it has not changed: buy well, buy deep, and pass the value on.
Nearly four decades later that one store has become eight across the state, from Gregory Hills in Sydney's south west to Wagga Wagga in the Riverina, alongside an online range that ships Australia wide. What has grown is the scale. What has stayed the same is the buying: we source directly, we commit early, and we back our ranges hard so the shelves are full when customers need them.
We are a family run Australian business. Decisions are made by people who walk the stores, and the ranges reflect what customers in those stores are actually asking for.

Party supplies and balloons
Balloons, tableware, decorations and themes for birthdays, weddings, graduations and every occasion in between. Our balloon range is one of the deepest in the state.
Homewares and everyday living
Furniture, soft furnishings, artificial flowers, kitchen and dining. Curated ranges that change with the seasons rather than sitting still all year.
Costumes and confectionery
Dress-up for adults and kids, face paint and accessories, plus a confectionery aisle stocked with imported favourites you will not find in a supermarket.

Party supplies and balloons
Latex and foil balloons, number and letter shapes, helium, and the full spread of party tableware: plates, cups, cutlery, napkins and table covers. Plus hanging decorations, backdrops, pinatas and party favours.
Themes for every occasion
Birthdays, weddings and engagements, baby showers, milestone parties and graduations. Our party themes range brings the licensed characters and colour schemes together so a whole table matches without hunting for pieces.
Homewares and home essentials
Furniture, soft furnishings, artificial flowers and plants, kitchen accessories, candles and planters, alongside the everyday home essentials that keep a household running.
Games, gifts and toys
Board and card games, fidget and sensory toys, plush and squishy toys, and kids games. Gifting is sorted by who you are buying for: kids, her, him, plus gift wrap, bags and tags.
Baking and cake decorating
Cake pans, boards, stands and toppers, piping bags, icing tips, moulds and cookie cutters, food colouring, edible toppings and candles.
Catering, confectionery and stationery
Catering supplies, foil trays and platters, including an eco-friendly sugarcane range. Our confectionery aisle carries imported sour lollies, gummies and chocolate. We also stock stationery and costumes year round.
Every season, covered
Seasonal is where we go deepest. We buy early and commit hard, so the range is on the shelf when you need it rather than after the event.
Halloween is our biggest single season. Costumes split by men, women, boys, girls, toddlers and even pets, plus masks, wigs, makeup, tableware, lights and treat buckets.
Christmas runs across more than twenty ranges: trees, baubles, ornaments, tinsel and garlands, lights, outdoor decorations, tableware, costumes, gift wrap and confectionery.
Through the rest of the year we range Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Book Week, graduation and our wider events range.

The people behind it
Our teams are local to the towns and suburbs they serve. They set the stores, build the balloon displays, and know what sells in their catchment better than any spreadsheet does.

Where do you ship from, and how long does delivery take?
All online orders ship from our Gregory Hills warehouse in south west Sydney. We deliver Australia wide, with express shipping available at checkout.
Can I visit a store in person?
Yes. We have eight stores across New South Wales: Gregory Hills, Brookvale, Menai, Erina Fair, Lake Haven, Tuggerah, Wagga Wagga and Bankstown. Every store carries the full breadth of our range.
