Please note that all balloon inflation orders need to be booked with our store in advance due to the high volume of balloon inflation orders (especially during the weekends). We would highly recommend our customers to book their orders instore, 1 to 2 weeks in advance for all balloon arrangement orders.

Terms and conditions
A valid Australian driver's license must be provided at the time of rental. Each tank rental includes a separately provided nozzle which must be returned with the tank at the end of the rental period. Balloons, strings, clips or security deposit are not included in the listed rental price. If you are unsure how to operate a helium tank please be sure to notify staff at the time of rental.
If paying your security deposit using a non-chip enabled eftpos debit/credit card, you will be liabile for the full security deposit amount, refundable to you upon return of the helium tank within 5 days of rental.

Store and use helium cylinders in a well ventilated area and in a upright secured position so they cannot be knocked over.Helium Cylinders Must Be Secured At All Times.
Close the cylinder valve after each use and when cylinder is empty. Remove the regulator and replace the cylinder protective cap before transporting any helium cylinders.
Do not allow anyone to breathe helium from cylinders or filled balloons.
Do not open the cylinder valve before attaching a balloon regulator on the cylinder valve.
Do not allow children or any unauthorized people to handle cylinders or use balloon filling equipment.
Never Leave A Helium Cylinder Unattended In A Public Area.
Never use any balloon regulator, cylinder or valve fitting that is damaged, leaking or malfunctioning. Have the product repaired or replaced immediately.
Do not drop, drag, tip over or roll the helium cylinder on its side.
Helium is a colorless, non-toxic, non-flammable gas which is lighter than air. It is considered an inactive gas and relatively safe to handle.
When miss used, however; it can cause serious injuries or death. Helium acts as a simple asphyxiant displacing oxygen. If the body is deprived of oxygen, even for a short period of time, DEATH or serious injury may occur.
Exposure to atmospheres containing reduced oxygen (increased helium) will bring about unconsciousness without warning - so quickly, that you will not be able to help yourself.

Need to fill balloons for a party? The Base Warehouse offers helium tank hire from all 8 of our stores across New South Wales: Gregory Hills, Brookvale, Menai, Erina Fair, Lake Haven, Tuggerah, Wagga Wagga and Bankstown. Pick a tank size, book by phone, collect on the day and fill as many balloons as you like at home or at the venue. It is cheaper than buying a disposable helium canister and far cheaper than paying per balloon.
Helium tank sizes and prices
Small tank: $79.99 hire plus $100 refundable deposit, fills about 50 standard 30cm latex balloons. Ideal for a kids birthday, a baby shower or decorating a small room.
Medium tank: $149.99 hire plus $125 refundable deposit, fills about 100 standard 30cm latex balloons. The most popular choice for 18ths, 21sts, engagements and school events.
Large tank: $329 hire plus $150 refundable deposit, fills about 300 standard 30cm latex balloons. Built for weddings, corporate events, school fetes and big venue decorating.
Foil and number balloons use more helium than latex, so budget roughly two latex balloons for every 45cm foil balloon. Every hire includes the nozzle. Balloons, string, clips and weights are sold separately and we stock all of them in store.
How helium tank hire works
Call your nearest store a few days ahead so we can have a tank ready. Bring an Australian driver licence as ID and pay the hire fee plus the security deposit. Collect the tank, fill your balloons, and return the tank and nozzle within 5 days for your deposit back. Staff will show you how to use the regulator at pickup if you have not used one before.

Every The Base Warehouse store inflates balloons in store, from single foil numbers to full bouquets and garlands. Buy your balloons from our range of latex, foil, bubble and number balloons and we will fill them while you shop. Helium-filled latex balloons float for 8 to 12 hours, foil balloons for several days, so plan your pickup for the day of the event.

How much does helium tank hire cost? From $79.99 for a small tank (about 50 balloons) to $329 for a large tank (about 300 balloons), plus a refundable deposit of $100 to $150.
How many balloons does a helium tank fill? Small about 50, medium about 100, large about 300 standard 30cm latex balloons. Foil balloons use roughly double.
Do I need to book? Yes, call your nearest store a few days before your event so a tank is set aside for you.
How long can I keep the tank? Up to 5 days. Return the tank and nozzle within 5 days to receive your deposit back in full.
Can you deliver a helium tank? No, tanks are collected from and returned to the store. If you would rather not transport a tank, we can inflate your balloons in store instead.
