How to apply and remove costume makeup

Start with clean, dry skin, do a patch test on the inner arm a day before, and follow the directions on the packet. Apply face paint in thin layers with a damp sponge for the base colour and a fine brush for lines, letting each layer dry before adding the next. Keep paint clear of the eyes and lips unless the packet says the product is made for them. To remove, follow the packet directions and use a gentle cleanser rather than scrubbing.
