Decorative Objects & Accessories

Decorative objects at The Base Warehouse run to more than 200 pieces, from the $1.20 Amethyst Peace Tumbled Gemstone to the $499.99 Wooden Titanic Ship at 100cm. This is the range for figurines, statues, gnomes and model boats.

What is in the decorative objects range

Figurines make up a large part of it: the Yoga Lady in gold, black, white, blue, stone finish and wood look, the Henny in nude, sage and white, and pet-lover pieces like You Had Me At Woof and Crazy Cat Lady. Ganesh and Buddha pieces range from the 7cm Gold Wise Ganesh With Glitter to the 92cm Antique Gold Ganesh Fountain. The Real Life Bilby, Real Life Ring Tail and Eucalyptus Branch Sitting Koala bring an Australian touch, and the Tree Gnome With Flowers and Beach Gnome suit a garden or patio. Nautical pieces include the Wooden Sail Boat at 60cm and the Plywood Lighthouse Standing Decoration. There are also aquarium decorations such as the Shipwreck Decoration.

How to style figurines and ornaments on a shelf

Work in groups of three or five and vary the height: a tall piece at the back, a mid-height object and something small in front. Leave some empty space on each shelf so every piece reads clearly. Tie a group together with one repeated colour, such as a sage figurine beside a sage vase, or keep to one finish like gold or white. Put heavy statues and fountains on low, stable surfaces, and dust small figurines with a soft dry brush. For an aquarium, rinse decorations in plain water before they go in the tank. If you like a theme, our Buddha decor, animal decor and beach and coastal decor pages narrow things down.
