How to choose utensils for your pans

Match the utensil head to your cookware. On non-stick pans, stick with silicone or nylon heads so you don't scratch the coating, and keep stainless steel tools for stainless pans, grills and roasting trays. A starter drawer needs tongs, a flat spatula, a slotted spoon, a ladle, a whisk, a grater, measuring cups and a board such as the Bamboo Cutting Board (32cm x 22cm, $9.99). For roasts, a Meat Thermometer (12.5cm, $4.79) takes out the guesswork. Take tongs and skewers outside with our BBQ utensils, find extra gadgets in kitchen accessories, and pack leftovers in food storage containers.
