Melbourne Cup Decorations

Our Melbourne Cup decorations are a tight edit of 5 race day pieces for office sweeps, backyard gatherings and long lunches, priced from $6.99 to $47.99. There is a racetrack backdrop, horseshoe and trophy foil balloons and a gold cutout, and The Base Warehouse has been trading since 1989.

What is in the Melbourne Cup range

The Backdrop Dirt Racetrack Scene Setter - 1.2m x 9.1m ($47.99) runs along a wall to set the scene. The Satin Good Luck Horseshoe Foil Balloon - 45cm ($7.99), SuperShape Good Luck Horseshoe Foil Balloon - 63cm x 71cm ($14.99) and Gold Champion Trophy Foil Balloon - 71cm x 63cm ($12.99) add height, and the Gold Dollar Sign Foil Cutout ($6.99) suits the sweep board.

How to set up for Melbourne Cup day

Hang the scene setter behind the TV so guests face the race and the backdrop together, then tie the balloons at either end. Pin the gold dollar cutout above the sweep draw. For a fuller look, add latex balloons in your colour scheme and more foil balloons, and find other dates on our calendar events page. Supervise young kids with balloons.
