How to size a collar or harness

Measure around the neck where the collar sits, then check you can slide two fingers under it once fastened. For a harness, measure the widest part of the chest just behind the front legs and choose the size whose range covers that number. Puppies grow quickly, so an adjustable collar with a range like 35 to 55cm lasts longer. Reflective collars and leads are handy for early morning and evening walks. Replace gear once buckles or stitching wear.
