Costume Weapons

Costume weapons are toy and costume props that finish a character, and our range has more than 60 of them, priced from $2.50 to $29.99. There are toy swords, wands, sceptres, sheriff and police kits, bows and Halloween props. The Base Warehouse has been stocking dress-up accessories since 1989, and these are made for costume parties, stage and dress-up days, not for real use.

What is in the costume weapons range

Pirate outfits use the Pirate Sword Set ($4.79), Deluxe Pirate Sword Set ($7.99), Plundering Pirate Sword and Eye Patch Accessory Set and Pirate Pistol with Orange Tip. Knights get the Medieval Fantasy Toy Sword ($8.99), Medieval Fantasy Sword with Jewel and Royal King Sceptre - 80cm. Wizards and witches can use the Assorted Wizard Wand - 34cm, Kids Wizard Stick at $2.50 and Witch Broom (S). For cowboys and cops there is the 5 Pack Sheriff Kit, Western Sheriff & Bandit Kit, 3 Pack Gun Holster & Badge Set and Funkiwi Police Baton. Halloween props include the Halloween Bleeding Dagger - 33cm, and the Robin Hood Bow and Arrow Set and He-Man Power Sword Costume Accessory ($29.99) round it out.

How to choose a costume weapon

Match the prop to the character and the age of the wearer: a wand or plastic sword suits young kids, while larger swords and staffs suit adults. Check the rules before you go, as many schools, events and venues restrict toy weapons or ask that they stay at home. Brightly coloured props, like the Pirate Pistol with Orange Tip, read clearly as toys. See the pirate range and medieval range for matching outfits.
