Costume Bow Ties & Ties

Costume bow ties and ties are an easy way to finish a character, and our range has more than 75 of them, priced from $2.99 to $17.99. There are plain and sequin bowties, jumbo novelty ties and long slim ties. The Base Warehouse has been stocking dress-up accessories since 1989.

What is in the costume bow tie range

Plain bowties come in red, blue, pink, white, yellow and green, mostly $3.49 to $3.99, in 8cm x 15cm and Large sizes. Sequin bowties come in red, yellow, green and black. Novelty picks include the Jumbo Red Silly Cat Bow Tie, the Pink Neon Jumbo Bow Tie, the Adult Jumbo Long Clown Tie ($7.99) and the Irish For a Day Jumbo Tie ($8.99). Long slim ties at $4.79 to $4.99 cover most colours, alongside Hufflepuff House and Ravenclaw House ties and a Kids Wizard Tie. There is also a Cowboy String Tie, Black and White Pocket Squares at $3.00 and the Light Pink Kids Sequin Bow Tie & Vest Set ($14.99).

How to choose a bow tie or tie for a costume

Pick the character first, then the colour. A long slim tie over a white shirt reads as a school uniform, gangster or wizard student, while a jumbo or neon bowtie says clown or 80s party. For a school colour day, a plain bowtie in the team colour is an easy add-on. The 8cm x 15cm bowties suit kids; the Large bowties and jumbo ties sit better on adults. Add braces from our costume suspenders to finish a clown or nerd outfit.
