How to hang and care for macrame

Measure the drop before you buy. A 110cm hanger plus the pot needs a hook high enough that the base clears heads and furniture. Use a hook screwed into a ceiling joist or a solid wall bracket, not an adhesive hook, because a pot full of wet soil is heavy. Water hanging plants over the sink, or sit a saucer inside the hanger, so drips do not stain the cord. If you would rather skip the watering, an artificial potted plant looks just as good in a hanger. A frayed fringe can be combed out and trimmed straight. For DIY, 4mm cord suits small plant hangers and coasters, while 6mm to 10mm cord is easier for chunky wall hangings. See more hanging decor for the rest of the wall.
