Which tape to use for which job

Masking tape is for painting edges, labelling and holding things in place for a short time, so peel it off within a day or two for a clean finish. Thin double sided tape (3mm to 12mm) suits cards and scrapbooking, while wider rolls are better for mounting light posters and signs. For moving boxes, run 48mm packing tape along the centre seam and across both edges of the top and bottom. Florist tape wraps stems for bouquets and buttonholes, and electrical tape is handy for bundling and colour-coding cables.
