How to get the most from a reed diffuser

Match the bottle to the room. A 50ml or 100ml diffuser suits a bathroom, laundry or bedside table, 200ml to 250ml works for a living room, and 400ml makes sense in an open plan space. Flip the reeds every week or so to refresh the scent; flipping more often gives a stronger throw but uses the oil faster. For a softer scent, remove a few reeds. Keep diffusers away from direct sun, heaters and air conditioning vents, and wipe up drips quickly because fragrance oil can mark timber. When the reeds turn dark and stop drawing up oil, swap in fresh refill reeds rather than buying a whole new bottle.
