How to dress up and decorate for Oktoberfest

Men usually wear lederhosen or a checked shirt with suspenders, and women a beer girl dress with a plaited wig and gingham hair ties. On a budget, the $7.99 suspenders over your own checked shirt does the job. Check sizes on the checkered costumes, as some colours come only in Large - X Large. Blue and white is the classic Bavarian scheme: string bunting over the bar and hand out Blue/White Oktoberfest Leis. Ten glass beer mugs cost under $30.
