How to choose the right marker

Use permanent markers for labelling boxes, plastic tubs, freezer bags and school gear, and keep them well away from the whiteboard. If one does end up on a whiteboard, draw over the mark with a whiteboard marker and wipe straight away. A window marker is made for glass, which makes it handy for shop windows and party signs. Acrylic markers suit painted rocks and craft projects where you want solid, opaque colour, while brush pens are for hand lettering and fineliners for outlines and detail. Always recap markers after use, and store dual tip markers lying flat.
