How to wrap awkward gifts and match the bag size

Boxes are the easy case: wrap the paper around the box with about 5cm of overlap, then trim each end to just over half the box height before folding. Round, soft or oddly shaped gifts are easier in a bag, so wrap the item in two sheets of tissue first, drop it in and fan more tissue out of the top. Pick a bag with a few centimetres spare on each side; if the handles will not meet, go up a size. Bottles belong in a bottle bag. To curl ribbon, pull it firmly over a scissor blade, and tie a tag on every gift so names do not get mixed up at the party. For Christmas, look at our Christmas gift wraps and Christmas gift bags.
