How to decorate for Diwali

Start with diya light strings along the entrance, window sills and front step. Battery operated strings need no power point, so they are easy to place on a mantel or around a doorway. For a family dinner of 16, one tablecover and runner, the platter for sweets and two packs of paper cups set the table. Hang the banner and honeycomb decorations where guests arrive.
