How to choose the right candle holder

Match the holder to the candle first. Tealight holders take a tealight, taper holders take a thin dinner candle, and pillar holders need the base of your pillar to sit flat with a little room around it, so measure before you buy. For a table centrepiece, cluster votives on a mirror plate: the mirror doubles the light and catches any drips. Metal and glass lanterns keep the flame behind glass, which suits a mantel or outdoor table. Always use a heat-proof surface, and never leave a candle or oil burner unattended. Find candles to fill them in our scented candles and Twilight tealights, and oils in our home fragrance range.
