How to build a scrapbook page

Start with a base sheet, then lay out photos and embellishments before you glue anything down, so you can move pieces around until the page feels balanced. Layer background paper first, then photos, then patches, bows and rhinestones. Adhesive-backed pieces like the rhinestone flowers stick straight on, while loose flatback rhinestones and sequins need a dot of craft glue. Keep bulky items such as resin bows and plush flowers for covers, boxes and cards, since they stop an album closing flat. If kids are helping with the wax seal, an adult should handle the melting.
