How to plan a character birthday party

Let the birthday child pick the character, then buy the core set: plates, cups and napkins, a banner and one large foil balloon. Most tableware comes in packs of 8, so for 10 kids buy two packs of plates and cups. Fill the gaps with plain balloons and streamers in the character colours, which costs less than covering the room in printed pieces. Toddler parties work best kept short and simple, with a scene setter for photos and a few favours. Older kids like a party game or pinata, and gaming themes suit award medals and tattoos in the loot bags. Keep latex balloons away from children under 8. For film characters see our Disney party supplies or browse every themed party range.
