How to choose and burn a scented candle

Match the size to the room. A 55g to 150g candle suits a bathroom, bedside or desk, while a 300g to 400g jar has the wax to scent a living area over many evenings. On the first burn, let the melted wax reach the edge of the jar before blowing it out so the candle does not tunnel. Trim the wick to about 5mm before each light, stand pillar and church candles on a heat-proof plate or one of our candle holders and votives, and never leave a burning candle unattended.
