How to choose and wear costume headwear

Pick headwear that says the character at a glance, because the head is where people look first. A witch needs a pointed hat, a pirate needs a skull hat, and a 1920s flapper needs a cloche or sequin headband. Many hats are one size fits most, but check the title for kids and adult versions. For wigs, tie long hair back flat and pin it before pulling the wig on from front to back, then brush it out gently with your fingers.
