Games & Gifts

Games and gifts at The Base Warehouse means more than 1,700 products in one range: kids toys, party games, fidget and squishy toys, novelty mugs and keepsakes, plus the gift bags, wrapping paper and ribbon to finish them off. Prices run from $1.00 to $119.99, which makes it easy to cover a birthday present, a Secret Santa gift or a round of loot bags in one order. We have been a family party and variety store since 1989, and this is where the presents and the wrapping sit side by side.

How to put together a gift on a budget

Start with the person, then set the budget. For a child's birthday party, a toy between $5 and $15 plus a $2.99 gift bag keeps the whole present under $20; check the age rating on the pack for younger kids. For Secret Santa or Kris Kringle with a set limit, a novelty mug or a keyring usually comes in under $15 and leaves room for a bag and tag. For a grown up milestone, a Legend glass or a three piece gift set does the talking on its own. Choose the gift bag after the gift: measure the item, pick a bag with a few centimetres spare on each side and fill the gaps with tissue. Add a sweet extra from our confectionery range, and if you are buying for a whole class, party favours sit well alongside the loot toys.
