How to run a kids' craft table

Cover the table first; the Messy Mat table protector saves a lot of scrubbing. Set out one project per session with everything counted out per child, such as a wooden shape, a few chenille stems, a handful of beads and a glue stick each. Keep glue guns for adults only and pre-glue any parts that need it before the kids sit down. Paint by numbers kits suit older children who can work for an hour, while stickers, pom poms and beads suit younger ones. Finish with a gift bag or organza bag so each piece goes home in one piece. Fill in with wool and yarn, stickers and decorations and glues and glitters.
