Curling Ribbon

Our curling ribbon range has more than 130 rolls of curling, satin, organza and lace ribbon, priced from $2.50 to $7.99. You will find big rolls for gift wrapping, metallic and holographic finishes, and fabric ribbons for bows and craft. The Base Warehouse has supplied gifting basics since 1989.

What is in the ribbon range

Standard 460m rolls are $5.99 in gold, yellow, pink, white, purple, lime, peach, mint, aqua and black. Metallic rolls in 228m come in silver, red, gold, royal blue, pink and green, and holographic 225m rolls are $6.99. There are also ombre satin styles in pinks, nudes and green, Tear Ribbon in 91m and a Happy Birthday roll (68.5m, $2.50). Fabric ribbons at $2.50 include satin in 10mm x 10m, 15mm x 4m, 25mm x 3m and 38mm x 3m, Organza Ribbon in 25mm x 5m and 38mm x 5m, and Lace Ribbon in 2.8cm x 500cm. Glitter Trim Ribbon (20mm x 3m) is $4.79.

How to curl ribbon and pick the right type

Cut a length about three times longer than the finished curl, hold it tight between your thumb and a closed scissor blade, and pull the blade along quickly. A firm pull gives a tight spiral, a gentle one gives a loose wave. It is also the one for tying off balloons and bundling colours on a bag handle. Satin, organza and lace ribbon do not curl, so use them for tied bows on boxes and jars, or pair them with ready-made gift bows.
