Cake & Cupcake Toppers

Cake toppers and cupcake toppers at The Base Warehouse start from $1.79, with designs for birthdays, milestones, baby showers and kids parties. Choose from acrylic and metal number toppers, happy birthday signs and packs of cupcake picks.

What is in the cake topper range

For milestone cakes there are gold acrylic word toppers such as One, Eighteen and Fifty at $4.79, gold and rose gold single number toppers from $2.99, and heavier metal toppers like the Gold 18th and Silver HBD at $17.99. Cupcake toppers come in packs, including 24 packs of Magical Unicorn foil picks, pom pom picks, paper fan picks and black and white checkered picks. Kids themes include Peppa Pig, LOL Surprise and Jurassic cake topper kits, and there are It's a Boy and It's a Girl toppers for baby showers.

Choosing the right topper for your cake

Match the topper to the cake: a 7cm number topper suits a small round cake, while a 20cm metal topper needs a cake at least 20cm wide and firm enough to hold the stakes, so chill the cake before you insert it. Acrylic toppers wipe clean and make a good keepsake. For cupcakes, mixing two pick designs looks fuller than one, and a 24 pack covers two dozen cupcakes. Pair your topper with cake candles and edible decorations in the same colour.
