How to apply and remove makeup and hair spray

Start with clean, dry skin and do a small patch test on the inner arm a day before, then follow the packet directions. Paint the lightest colour first, let each layer dry, and add dark outlines last with a fine brush. For clown makeup, a white or bright base with red and black details is all you need. When the night is over, remove makeup as the packet directs, gently and without scrubbing. For coloured hair spray, work outdoors or in a well-aired room, put a towel over the shoulders, spray dry hair from arm's length and let it dry before touching. Stick-on moustaches and face jewels hold best on clean skin without moisturiser.
