How to choose novelty medals and awards

For kids parties, give every child a medal so nobody goes home empty handed, and save the trophy for the overall winner. Gold, silver and bronze sets work well for relay races and sack races with clear placings. For adult events such as trivia nights, work parties or Melbourne Cup lunches, novelty statuettes get a laugh and look good in photos. Write names or award categories on a small gift tag and tie it to the ribbon so each award feels personal. Set the prizes out on a table before the games start so everyone can see what they are playing for.
