How to choose drinkware for a gift or party

For a birthday, match the number on the glass to the milestone and think about what the person actually drinks: a 150ml champagne glass for bubbles, a 430ml wine glass for red or white, or a 600ml stemless glass that works for wine, cocktails or soft drinks. Stemless glasses sit lower and suit outdoor tables and picnics. For big parties and pool days, reusable plastic glasses in multi packs mean no broken glass underfoot and a quick rinse to reuse. Hand washing is the safest bet for glasses with decals, glitter or ombre finishes.
